Offers and networks

Keep your offers in one place, group them by network, and add the same tracking parameters to every offer of a network.

An offer is a destination with a payout attached. A network is the affiliate network or tracker your offers come from. Add them once under Offers, then pick an offer as the destination of a Flow instead of typing its URL again.

  1. Open Offers, then the Networks tab.
  2. Select Add network and enter a name, such as “Everflow – main account”.
  3. Under Offer parameters, write the URL parameters this network expects on every offer link. Leave the field empty if it expects none.
  4. Select Add network.

The network’s card shows its Postback URL. Give that address to the network so it can report conversions, and use the “i” beside it to see the parameters it accepts. Learn about tracking conversions.

Offer parameters are name=value pairs joined with &, written with TapBaton’s click macros. When a visitor opens the link, each macro is replaced with that click’s own value.

  • aff_click_id={click_id}&sub_id1=fb sends the click’s ID and the fixed value fb.
  • anid={click_id}_{sub2} joins the click’s ID and the link’s sub2 value with an underscore.
  • click_id={click_id}&web_id={click_id} sends the same click ID under two names.

Select the “i” beside the field for the full list of macros. TapBaton refuses a macro it does not know, a pair without a name or a value, and a template with a space or #, and says which field to fix.

  1. On the Offers tab, select Add offer.
  2. Enter a name, choose the Network, and paste the offer’s own Offer URL.
  3. Set a default payout if the network’s postback does not send one.

Under the URL, TapBaton lists the parameters the network adds. They are added to every link to this offer automatically, so you do not paste them into the URL. If your URL already has a parameter with the same name, your value stays and the network’s is not added. Anything after # stays at the end.

For example, with the offer parameters aff_click_id={click_id}&sub_id1=fb, the offer URL https://offer.example/lp?sub_id1=mine#top opens as https://offer.example/lp?sub_id1=mine&aff_click_id=<click ID>#top.

In a Flow, open Send to, search for the offer, and choose it. When you publish, TapBaton saves the offer’s link, with its network’s parameters, in the published route. Use Test route to see the link a visitor would get. Learn how to test and publish.

Published links keep the parameters they were published with. Select Edit parameters on the network’s card to change them, then open each Smart Link that sends visitors to one of its offers. The editor says Offer changed since last publish; publish again to use the new parameters.
