TapBaton keeps the visit, the outcome, and the message sent to another platform as separate steps. Keeping them separate helps you find where a result went missing.
| Step | Plain meaning | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Click | A visit to your Smart Link was recorded. | Logs → Clicks |
| Conversion | An outcome, such as a lead or sale, was sent back for a click. | Logs → Conversions |
| Delivery | TapBaton tried to send a conversion to an ad platform or partner. | Logs → Deliveries |
A click alone does not mean the visitor converted. A conversion recorded in TapBaton does not mean another platform accepted it. Use the logs to trace one visit.
Choose what counts as a conversion
Section titled “Choose what counts as a conversion”In Conversions, you create the outcome names that matter to your Project. Examples might be “Lead”, “Sale”, or “Approved”. The service that knows an outcome happened then sends it to TapBaton with the click identifier. Set up conversion tracking.
Share events with an ad platform
Section titled “Share events with an ad platform”In Pixels, you can connect a supported platform, decide which conversion names to send, and choose which Smart Links use that connection. Learn about Pixels.
Compare campaigns
Section titled “Compare campaigns”Use Analytics to compare links, sources, destinations, and other available details. Open a Smart Link’s Insights view for a simpler look at that one link. Reports may take time to reflect new events; use a log entry when you need to inspect one specific visit or outcome. Read a report.
